Streetcar East Extension
MARTA’s Atlanta Streetcar East Extension project marks the initial expansion of the existing downtown Streetcar. This extension will expand the Atlanta Streetcar service from downtown to the Beltline’s Eastside Trail.
Next Steps Towards Construction
In collaboration with Atlanta Beltline, Inc. and City of Atlanta, MARTA has contracted with the consultant HDR to finalize the project engineering and deliver construction documents. Project funding comes from the More MARTA half-penny sales tax that received overwhelming voter support in 2016.
